The Philippine National Railways (PNR) today announced that it will have limited operations for its Metro Manila commuter service running the Tutuban to Calamba and vice versa route during the Holy Week.

On Maundy Thursday, it will have shorter operating hours as its operation will only be from 5:30 am until 12:00 nn. It will suspend operations from Good Friday until Black Saturday but will be back Easter Sunday (with its usual limited trips during Sundays and holidays) and, finally, will resume its normal operations on Monday, April 6, 2015.

PNR general manager Engr. Joseph Allan Dilay said that “the PNR will provide additional manpower and facilities during the Lenten season to ensure security in its terminals and stations and inside the trains while in transit.”

“We will likewise take this opportunity, while our operations are suspended, to do some additional maintenance work for our trains and tracks,” Dilay added.
