Engineer Deovanni S. Miranda’s recent appointment as the General Manager brings his extensive experience and dynamic vision for the future of the railways sector to the Philippine National Railways (PNR). He is committed to leading the organization towards railway rehabilitation and expansion through innovation, with an emphasis on good governance and exceptional public service in line with the needs of the railway industry.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) from the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) and is currently pursuing his Professional Science Master’s Degree in Construction Management at the same university.
GM Miranda is a seasoned engineer prepared to make his next significant impact on rail transformation within the PNR.
He embarked on his railway career journey in 2006, working for various companies as an engineer in Saudi Arabia. In 2015, he transferred to Denmark, where he served as M&E Construction Coordinator and M&E Lead Commissioning Engineer for the Copenhagen Metro Team I/S, assigned under the Copenhagen Cityringen Metro Project.
GM Miranda went on to begin his public service career with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) in 2019 as Engineer IV for the LRT-2 East and LRT-2 West Project Teams. He also served as Engineer V on the Rail Sector Technical Services Lead & Deputy Project Manager for LRT Projects.
Prior to his appointment, he held the position of Overall Deputy Project Manager for the country’s first-ever subway, the Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP) of DOTr, which is currently making significant progress in its construction.
Despite his numerous accomplishments throughout his career, GM Miranda remains grounded and deeply dedicated to serving the public. He is recognized for his strategic thinking, collaborative nature, and innovative mindset.
